Tarpan is most useful at a distance when dealing with clouds of flying enemies like Lost Souls and Cacodemons, since its bullets home indiscriminately, if I remember.

Thing is, I think the Tarpan isn't the only weapon with homing bullets. Not to mention, dealing with clouds of enemies is just as accomplishable with the Power Overwhelming's altfire mode.....

Am I the only one who appreciates the low-key nature of Tarpan? I like it exactly as it is, since it provides a more quieter and calmer shooting experience that still OP, but not as bombastic, loud and chaotic as Power Overwhelming minigun. Perfect for when I want to get a moment of something more simple in between the total carnage.

Thing is, if you want a low-key gun, you could just use Wolgir and not activate the alt-fire.

Plus it's got the Starcraft Terran Marine rifle fire noise. : D

What else could you possible need? lol

Which one? Browsing through the mod description with ctrl+F yielded no results of said "Wolgir".

Wolgir was an assault rifle that used to be in older versions of the mod, and hasn't been in for the last couple of versions because PB decided it was just not overkill enough.

That makes sense, I guess........although I miss that fire sound.

If he got rid of that, then the Tarpan should get a revamp, too. If we want a basic bullet-flinger, we have the MP40.

I now know why I love Wolgir compared to the other rapid fire guns.

It's hitscan.
It's the greatest example of w+m1 weapon in RO, which definitely makes the gun fitting in such a mod. It can pain stun enemies to death while you continue showering them with lead, since it has no recoil and other tiny little drawbacks.
It's functionality is neat and I feel like Arnold Schwarzenegger, hehe.

It's simple but great enough. Sure it's firerate is outmatched by the gatling guns, but it's not that much of an issue.

I say put it back.

SIGNAL BOOST

PillowBlaster, if you could find the time to re-introduce the Wolgir, that'd be epic.

Thank you. For a moment I thought I was going blind and missing something obvious. Phew.

I realized that my complaints were due to using an old version of the mod. The latest uploaded version was much better. Mea culpa. Objections withdrawn.

fun fact: the tarpan's healing field altfire will damage monsters. not by a whole lot, but it does it rapidly, so it adds up quickly (and is likely to stunlock them to death)
