btw, for the chainsaw class i added a modified version of the Redneck Rampage razorjack
1st attack: swing
2nd attack: blade launch (obvius :lol: )

err.. not really. there is a mod only for edge that has painkiller weapons. i forgot what was it, though. i think i still have it though. :)

I'm messing around with this at the moment, but figured my feedback would be welcome:
  • The .357 Magnum is massively overpowered. The power to kill a Cacodemon in two shots, for four bullets per shot? Guaranteed to gib an imp, or fell regular demons with a single round? There's almost no reason to use anything else.
  • You need to work on graphical consistency. Most of these weapons look pretty nice, the starting revolver meshes nicely with the flaregun and the pitchfork, but the Magnum and the M3 Shotgun both look really out of place with the different hands and model-ripped style.
  • I love the Quake 4 shotgun. Something needs to be done about the screen on the back, though, because the colors on it really bleed badly in the Doom palette.
  • The Doom 3 machinegun doesn't look very good at all, and is nigh worthless in terms of damage per bullet.
  • The Painkiller rifle is 100% accurate?
  • Why doesn't the starting revolver share the same muzzle flash effects as the other weapons? For that matter, what about the Q4 shotgun?
  • The M3 Shotgun really doesn't even need to be here since we've got the far superior Quake 4 one already.
  • Why does everybody feel the need to use Blood's sawed-off shotgun? I swear that's quickly going the route of Shadow Warrior's riotgun in terms of over-use.
  • Either use PNGs, or figure out a better way to convert your graphics to the Doom palette, because especially with the Painkiller weapons, there is horrible color bleeding going on here.

thanks for the review Weasel, but i have to clarify some things:
-the shot power of the Magnum is the same of AEOD's magnum and i used these sprites because the classic one on wrw is too overused;
-the M3 shotgun is an alternative to Duke3D's shotgun.. i used it before of the M3.. i'll have to create/find some new sprites for it (also thanks for the good coments on the sprites :D )
-when i uploaded the sprites on XWE, the sprites palettes became with bad colors automatically :( ;
-ok, for the D3mach i have to make the sprites bigger (that's not a problem);
-the Painkiller Rifle is one of the weapons i like of the mod... i made it more accurated than the other chaingun class' weapons;
-some weapon sprites don't have an own muzzle flash (like the Q2RL) so, i made a muzzle flash that acts like the "gunsmokespawner";
-already talked about the M3
-i know, i made "another" blood sawedoff because i had a crash with that weapon since i was 4 :wub:
-i will see if i can fix the bad palette, but i don't promise anything, since i just started uploading sprites on XWE (if you know how to make them better tell me please);

i will use the painkiller, the shotgun and i will use the gibs, souls, demonmorph etc. :D
