Hello, kinsie. Congrats on being the first person to persuade me to play Doom using the vanilla weapons and powerups again. With the attention to details that you gave to Doom Enhanced, I just really felt that the game was much more aesthetically pleasing than the efforts that ID came up with. Seriously, sir: there's a lot to be said for being able to the gib hanging/impaled bodies and being able to explode the burning barrels like what was supposed to be possible. Maybe there are others who may not share my same high opinion of this mod, but it remains with me that this is the best vanilla-Doom enhancer that I've ever played (I can seriously swear that the game just feels so different when playing this mod, although it never really touches gameplay).

I love this, but one thing annoyed me. How when you gib an enemy, it will not be revived anymore, ever, with respawn monsters or if an arch-vile is around.

This is extremely easy to fix and I did. Its very, very game breaking in Nightmare.

Another annoyance is how the Revenant's missile homes in with MUCH better efficiency in your mod. Also game breaking - also easy to fix. I fixed all that for my personal use, but they should be here by default if you truly want this mod not to change the gameplay.

Otherwise, this is great and is almost always on when I play with ZDoom.

If you like to think logically here, shooting an enemy leaves all their body parts intact. Blowing the monsters to smithereens would leave some body parts left. It wouldn't make sense if an archvile can resurrect a monster fully with some body parts missing. It does affect gameplay, though, which can be a problem.

A Skulltag showcase with Doom Enhanced. (Please note that only the regular doomguy skin is available when you combine Doom Enhanced with Skulltag. It still is pretty sweet though! :cheers: )
