Just curious! I quite enjoy playing with the revolver as a sorta challenge gun, though one thing that is mildly annoying about it is that it defaults to being left handed, which lengthens reloading. I've poked around the code for the revolver and have no idea how I'd go about making it right handed by default. Any way that I could change that in the code?

Play Freedoom, in which the protagonist is not canonically left-handed.

I noticed that in the newest master (8cd81e2) increasing light amp googles' intensity over 100 will cause it to go into negative numbers.
Trying to use the googles then will cause the screen to go completely black and the player has to increase it over 100 again to go back to positives.

And since the [Zoom] button no longer switches between positives and negatives, can it also decrease the intensity like when holding both [Zoom] and [Use]?

The going back into negatives was an oversight and will be fixed.

I want to keep the use key a requirement, though, since sometimes someone's holding Zoom for other reasons when they want to turn the goggles on or off.

holy macaronny, there so many updates... Doubt I can catch on that.

Anyway, a few feedbacks.

1) There is no way I can get out of "mag manager" once I open it up, and it seems there is no button to bind to close it. Once it's open, it stays forever for me. Clicking it again does nothing productive.

2) The rocket launcher when loaded a rocket propelled grenade doesn't have backfire explosion, even though it's how the rocket launchers are working IRL. It should punish you and instantly kill you for firing rocket propelled grenade in a close corridor.

Have you tried selecting a weapon?
I just downloaded the newest master and switching to a weapon from the manager works fine for me.

Tried, and it just permanently stays at "magmanager" weapon.

NEW UPDATE!

Highlights of changes:
  • Brontornis bulk corrected. This may break some loadouts.
  • Ammo boxes can now dispense any HDAmmo descendant that by default can fit into a backpack, has a loadout code, can be given with the give ammo/idfa cheat, is not accessible using the inventory selector and is less than 200 bulk per unit.
  • Polyobjects can no longer be destroyed, as the only method I am aware of for removing them is unreliable.
  • New alias hd_fragslot for selecting weaponslot 0.
  • Crouch-slide now throws off your aim a bit more, even without forwards/backwards movement, and varies depending on your weapon momentum.
  • Pain elementals now shoot more aggressively, spawn more lost souls and shoot an improved version of the shield ball attack.
  • Various bugfixes and QoL improvements.
