Heretic+ is a gameplay mod that I have been working on for the past month

What is it?
Heretic+ adds altfires to all of the default Heretic weapons and includes some new ones as well (+ Player Classes)

I think there's already a "Heretic+" mod, as I was told that when I made my "Heretic+" mod which was a randomizer lol. I do like what I'm seeing here, though!

Love the fact that we now have a revolver in medieval fantasy land. Glad Guncaster and other mods are not the only stuff doing the exact same thing!

Its also the name of a executable hack that expands the vanilla engine whilst retaining compatibility.

Cool-looking stuff - only remark I feel is worth sharing is that the Magnum feels out-of-place given Heretic's fantasy theme.

Ah, I'm still flushing out the magnum. My inspirations was in the old tales how silver bullets would kill werevolves and vampires (Disciples/Weredragons) but I couldn't think of a better way to implement that. I was thinking maybe some sort of blunderbuss type weapon with different shot types?

A random gun in general is just a bit of a setting mismatch. Having silver arrows for the bow, or silver crossbow bolts would be more cohesive. if you're adjusting enemies as well, you could even give weredragons special properties when hit by it, like a custom pain state, a debuff, etc.

I was planning for it to have extra damage against Weredragons and disciples, and I get what you mean about a setting mismatch

I regret to say that due to a catastrophic error with slade, I have lost about a day and a halfs worth of work, so I will need to completely remake it, which will delay my next update.

Good news, I have remade my lost work, and made 2 new weapons. The first one is the Tome of Power (Replaces Phoenix Rod) with 3 fire modes: Rocket, Poison, and Ice. The second weapon is the Wraithverge

I have also tested this with Hexen, and it works for the most part, but will require some tweaks to be fully compatible

I have updated the file in the main post
