I've been working on extended Valiant and Ancient Aliens support to circumvent their death exits, though this means there is a minor change in syntax for the MAPHASH lump, now after the hash and the next map has been defined there must be a special line added to the end of the entry, this is the line number to be modified in case of a death exit a la Valiant. Should there be no special line to be modified then -1 is accepted as "no change".

So in most cases the syntax now goes like so:

I have also added support for Heretic Trrasure Chest, REKKR 1.13 and Chex Quest

Not sure about PB Version 2.03 (I believe that's the release version) but I noticed it works until you defeat the Cyberdemon in Episode 2 of Ultimate Doom in PB 3.0 Test Build from January 21st 2018. This was tested with regular Ultimate Doom and Doom Combined (https://www.moddb.com/games/doom/downlo ... m-combined) but hasn't been tested on Wad Smoshed.

But with PB on my tests, after Episode 2 ends the script just stops working and you have to play Episode 3 the normal way (ala Pistol Start.)

It worked fine for me in testing (though I did use "kill monsters" in console)!

btw, Mikk~, would that extra "-1" also cause the game to ignore the health/inventory resets mentioned in previous posts?

The extra parameter in MAPHASH will not have any affect on anything except for modifying specific lines, - just note that this is a 1.1.0 feature and not currently available.

Episodic-EX has been updated to version 1.1.0! Now you can fully play through Valiant and Ancient Aliens without fear of losing your weapons and items to pesky death exits! See the first post for details.

I've made a personal edit adding support for Doom:ONE and its Project Brutality and Brutal Doom 21 patches.

Thanks for all of these patches guys! I’ll add them to the official archive. Anyone is able to make patches and submit them to this thread and I will implement them in the next version
