This is my first level, but might as well be my last because of the difficulty of it.

First post by you, first wad by you, no detailed info, no screenshots...

This can only be a jokewad. Or generally bad.

EDIT: Turns out my hunch was correct. It's a giant, oddly shaped STARTAN room with a selection of armaments on one end of it and 40 revenants on the other, with nothing interesting going on visually or gameplay-wise. I didn't even bother killing the poor skeletons and just ran straight into the exit.

Also, what's up with this random jumble of lines on the southwest corner?
Spoiler:

You people need to learn to chill out. This could very well be a young person's first Doom map ever, or at least, first attempt that they were eager to share. Accusing them of crapping up the forums with a jokewad is a good way to discourage first-timers when it's not immediately obvious they're pulling a BlueStar/acting in bad faith.

Anyways, onto the actual level: OP, the complaints of MFG38, despite how they were worded, are still perfectly valid. I would recommend trying to start off with smaller, more cohesive maps before branching out into larger stuff such as what you have here. There are lots of tutorials online that can teach you how to make better maps.

You are absolutely right ..my "the question is why " comment wasn't really that nice or encouraging ..
But if anyone puts out maps like that (look at my first map it's bad but I thought I just post it anyways) the person won't learn anything from that and just might get angry comments or even worse ..

It would be way better if there would exist a seperate section for beginners here on zdoom forum or if people like the modder here would share their map with some people beforehand and get a good sense of is it good or not ..
And actually I can't think of any reason someone would put something like this here online and think to get any positive response..
Since I am sure the modder has definitely played some doom beforehand and knows what a map normally looks like. ..

I didn't want to be rude or discouraging but stuff like that isn't exactly anything ...

I hope the modder reads that and forgives me my rude opinion but if you really want to continue and you should then start watching some tutorials and maybe read some stuff about good mapping ..starting with nothing (no idea/plan/knowledge) normally becomes nothing ..(I know it ..I was mapping myself and never got to a point which was anything but pathetic)
