I've been trying to get myself into a map for the challenge. I've got 5 started, lol. I keep getting too into it and making a huge complex level. Anywho, the current one I'm really liking, would anyone wanna take a run through it? There's no monsters or items, just trying to get a nice flow through first. Stay safe, friendos!

Hey dude! Played both, unfortunately I couldn't get past the temple in aztec. Teleport broke? Also, left side of the stairs were missing a texture. I like the idea of the city, but it destroyed my frames, lmao. Maybe more doors and teleport monsters in so they don't all rush you at once? I'm excited to see more of both!

My tech hell factory thing is like... 50% done? I've got zombiemen placeholders atm, but I'd love feedback if anyone wants to give it a shot.

As you probably noticed, whenever the player gets a keycard, he is then teleported back to the start to start a new challenge. I set the key script to always execute(the script is primitive, just teleports the activator to a map spot), and even tried to add the INVENTORY.ALWYASPICKUP flag to it, thinking it will just work for all players in MP. But alas, it seems it does not(only the first player is teleported, others just pick up the key, but due to the nature of the map they get stuck in the room.) and I have no idea how to fix this outside of major rework of several areas. The design document states that puzzle-specific maps do not have to have MP starts, and allows for observers instead. I searched around, but couldn't find anything about setting up observers, so I believe it's just a server setting before game starts.

What do you think would be the best approach to tackle this?

33: The pyramid looks really nice. I loved the rooms with green water and rotating doors - though hey could be wee bit faster I think. The super secret room feels overstocked, since most of the monsters are the weak ones. I didn't get stuck anywhere and it played nice and easy. The exit felt a bit out of place and the ammo in the exit rooms seems unnecessary, but I assume it's WIP

34: This one gives me a MAP16 from Doom 2 vibe. Starting in the middle of a town, there are monsters in every direction, and you can start however you like. Great! Verticality is very nice, seems there could be some roof fights soo. Right now it is kinda barebones though, but I can imagine decorating a town can't be easy. The last print message is shown to late to read(the exit one), player has to check the log to read how good he is

Both played nicely. Nice verticality and some details, but need polishing. Haven't tried if there were difficulty settings, but if not, I'd probably use more stronger monsters, it's mostly the basic ones and you can mow them quite quickly.

Gave me strong Quake 1 vibe at places, I love this kind of metallic/gory setting. Just like your first map, the complexity and verticality is great. It all feels connected, you can see other parts of the map...so nice. I noticed you started using some UDMF features, like slopes in windows. The map felt almost ready, fun to play. You have too many monsters though

I think I've devised an acceptable hybrid solution. And I used it for 'story' as well. So at the beginning all players except Player 1 get a message that only 'one champion may take the trials' and are teleported away( so they don't take up space) and at the same moment their camera is switched to Player 1, so they see everything as he does. But towards the end, once Player 1 finishes all trials, they get teleported to Player 1 so they can help him tackle the end fight. I assigned the TID to players using Thing_ChangeTID through ENTER script(player tids 700-703), but if need be, I suppose I could figure out a script to assign TIDs and avoid this.

The other suggestions did not work for me, mostly due to map constraints.
