Looks great!

What kind of gameplay/difficulty are you going for? Little concerned about it getting BFG-spammy towards the end, like Scythe got.

I believe they mentioned that none of them are interested in slaughter gameplay over on Doomworld.
This looks fantastic, btw!

Nice! I like the palette shift, the inclusion of 3D models where appropriate and the use of moody fog and lighting! Looks promising!

I always loved stuff with elemental crap in them. I'll download this whenever it comes out.

Damn those screenshots look nice, and I'm always a fan of thematic shifts like how the hubs were done in Hexen.

Definitely looking forward to this next year :D

I came here to look for a Doom megawad damnit! How did I end up in some Unreal engine game thread?

All jokes aside, what you guys are doing here is absolutely amazing and seems to be breaking the initial thoughts of boundaries in the (GZ)Doom engine. Damn fine work.

Update: June 23rd 2018

Progress with Elementalism continues at a steady pace. Since the original post, we've continued work on three Fire Episode maps (Fire 2, Fire 3, and Fire 4) and two new Dark Episode maps (Dark 1 and Dark 2). Fire 2 and Fire 3 especially were two of the biggest and most technologically complex maps planned, so having them complete will be a big milestone.

We've also added a few of the new enemies planned, created new code to reduce the rendering glitches in portals and enable spinning platforms, and added one more weapon: the Air Episode weapon. Created by Gutawer, it's best described as a medium-power forking rail-gun. Brilliant against swarms of lower tier enemies, but wasted on lone powerful foes.

A few new screenshots:

Fire 2

Fire 2

Fire 3, with PBR Material enhanced marble walls

Dark 1

Dark 2. The gooey mass has a material effect so it glistens as you run past it.
