Is it possible to get UDMF to work with Heretic? I can load it with Heretic resources, but it still just gives me all the Doom options since there's only Doom in UDMF format, no Heretic. Am I just missing the option?

In the Game Configurations, use Heretic instead of Doom. GZDB automatically sets up the Thing menu to only use assets from that specific config.

Like, GZDoom: Heretic (UDMF) instead of GZDoom: Doom 2 (UDMF).

That doesn't seem to be an option. In GZDoom Builder Doom 2 is the only option (as in for every type, not just UDMF), and in DB2 Doom 2 is the only UDMF option.

Oh yeah, I'm in too.

EDIT: I have a complain regarding the resource pack, it's ridiculously huge. It's MORE THAN TWICE the size of the original 20 Monsters Map Pack as a whole. Most of the size comes from the texture pack. I'd say it should be removed and let people choose their own custom textures (say 20 or 30 per map, and other mappers can share textures for their maps).
Of course this is just my opinion, so don't feel forced to do what I say, but it's definitely something you should take in consideration fro the final release.

Which makes it VERY IMPORTANT that if you change textures using ACS, to let me know what they are, because I'm basically going to load every map without the texture pack and use the error log to figure out which textures are actually being used.

Or just don't use ACS texture swaps unless the textures are already loaded into your map to start with.

The texture pack is of no problem size wise for me. In fact, I just managed to stick to the vanilla default textures that are available. I can't wait to see what other maps you guys can come up with! Finished one map, may map another one?

That map is amazing, but it goes way past the 20 monsters limit. XD

I think it's great on its own, though. And yes, you can map as many as you like. ^_^

So, I've been considering maybe to join in. Problem is I've yet to come up with anything. (Don't sign me up).

I've one question. Gothic's map contains ghostly versions of enemies that don't appear in vanilla Heretic. Dragons, snakes & a ironlich. I even think I've seen a "black knight" of sorts, which is just a unique looking skeleton knight.

Is that okay?
