I've never actually released a map before, and I think this is only the third or fourth I've started that got as far as having an exit.

You guys are kind of overestimating most of us. The idea that we're not "actually" new to this is actually kind of backhanded.
Out of everyone who's delivered a map to me so far, there are only a small handful of people I would call not new. In fact, I could even count them all on one hand.

There are a LOT of people new to mapping in this project. Let's take Yholl, for example.

When it comes to modding, he is definitely not a rookie. He is very good at making weapons and wrangling with Decorate. DRLA stands as a testament both to his ingenuity, to his persistence, to his abilities with coding, and his ability to take control of situations.
This does not, however, extend to mapping. When it comes to mapping, this will be his very first Doom map. He is practically the definition of a rookie, this is all incredibly new to him and he's plowing through learning everything as he goes along.

Just because someone's good at modding doesn't mean he's instantly good at mapping.

Welp, I'm late slightly over 2 hours.

It's a miracle I managed to get something not-horrible out of the crap i had several hours ago. :P
You might notice i spent way more time on the starting area compared to the rest of the level. It turned out tiny and ugly because of that (also i had no idea exactly how much time i was gonna be able to devote to it)

Well here it is anyway, this is not my proudest work, but at least I TOOK A DUMP

Okay, I'm getting sick of looking at this thing, so here's an updated version. Still map SHADWHOG. No resource WAD this time, everything's been merged into the one WAD. Attributions are still in the ATTRIBUT lump (added a Duke 3D texture for the final gauntlet, too!). Also took the time to make it beatable with Zandronum 2.1.2, although there's still some multiple-tag hijinks that don't quite look right.

Known bug: if you stand perfectly still in the rising lava gauntlet at the end, you will not die when the lava reaches you. You're still immediately screwed if you try to move out of the sector you were in, though, so don't think you can cheat that segment this way.

Also, for the life of me I could not get the "Blocks Monster LOS" linedef flag to work. Had to resort to using the "Dormant" flag and Thing_Activate(), instead. Oh well~

(Time I paid a greatly-postponed revisit to Eorzea already...)

argh, I was so sure I could do something for this. But for some reason the creativity's just not there, or the ideas I do come up with are too tough to pull off. Plus my university studies have me a bit mentally preoccupied at present.

argh, I'm gonna have to drop out and see if I can make a comeback next time. Sorry, Term.
