Absolutely! This project is to help people improve, polish, or dust off their mapping skills! It's not a competition, everyone's in it together. Do it for fun, for practice.

I'll check that out in a second, Wiv! For now, though...

Second Build of my map

  • Added cool clouds to the skybox
  • Tweaked lighting in the outdoor part of the first area.
  • Gave the central area and east wing of the top floor some much-needed extra visual flair
  • Added a new texture to a secret
  • Minor lighting and visual fixes.

I'm starving for critique on the actual gameplay and such, so if you have anything to say, please lemme know!

Okay! Most of my realistic complaints about the map have been fixed, it looks great. I did find one wee flaw, though:

Shove this computer unit near the start into the floor a wee bit, the texture's a bit off.

I MIGHT drop out myself, I had big asperations, but very little time... Wanted to make a sort of "d-day" style beach, but I've had no time, and really don't want to rush it / delay the process.

Ill still work on this map, but its debatable if it will be for DUMP or just standalone...Sorry term =(

Or, possibly might make something less ambitious for dump 3.... (hopefully you do this)

Dammit. I tried your map, Kinsie, and maybe it's just that I'm used to playing with weapon mods slightly more powerful than the standard arsenal, but I had a very hard time beating it. I'm not sure exactly where I'm having trouble, I'll have to give it another play through, but it's difficult. At least for me.

welp

I kinda hate to be that person to say "dropping out"...

...but yeah i'm dropping out.

My week is over(I started on 6th), and while I do have SOMETHING, I'm not really satisfied with it, and I am physically incapable of releasing anything I'm not at least partially satisfied with. Even if I was allowed to work on this further, it's probably not a good idea, because uni is totally a thing and neglecting it further is likely not a good thing.

So yeah, so much for that.

Still, it's been pretty fun, not regretting my participation attempt! I might try again later, if DUMP will still be a thing by then.
