I actually was thinking about that. It would be awesome to have an add-on music pack with better quality music. I will certainly consider it. :)

Hey guys, sorry for the long wait. Things have been crazy on my end but I'm okay now. Anyway, I'm getting Doom Tribute ready for upload. If there is anything that needs attention, please notify me ASAP. If everything is a go, I will proceed to upload around the middle of March.

Are you gonna upload an addon to replace the midi tracks?

@armymen12002003 - Yes. I will be uploading a music replacement wad within this thread after the release of Doom Tribute. I'm currently doing some final touches to it; I scoured the internet for awesome Doom mixes; so far I got a little bit of Sonic Clang, Andrew Hulshult, Lorcan, and Per Kristian (I think I got his name right...). Hopefully I'll have something by the end of this month or beginning of April.

@Skrell - Yes this will be a full megawad replacement. It contains 34 levels in total.

Hey guys, just wanted to add one more thing regarding the project. I will be doing some tiny touch-ups. This involves changing the BFG9000 sprite to resemble a more classic look and to do a little touch up in the credits. I'll keep all of you posted.

The doom OST sounds pretty good as well, and i don't really hear it in many doom mods

Still cool, completed Doom 1 episodes on 100%, about BFG sprite, i think of the BFG from Reelism.

Hey guys, DOOM Tribute final release is here! I have it on page 1.

@Janus3003 - I should thank you. I was really impressed with your eagle eye. Your attention to detail and testing things I would never think of really was impressive. Plus the writing you did for the read-me screens was also well done. Once TOTLM4 gets underway with beta testing, it would be a pleasure to have you on board with the testing team. Thank you again for your assistance.

@demo_the_man & armymen12002003 - I'll be getting the alternate soundtrack up maybe in the next week. It'll be posted in this thread on page 1. I also want to thank you guys for your input as well with this project. You guys did an awesome job!

And to everyone else involved with this project, thank you for your assistance and insight. I've learned a lot from all of you and I hope to apply what I've learned to any of my future projects.

Thank you.

Gotta play it again... :D

Question... is there a version/mutator which replaces all the custom monsters with the original vanilla monster actors?

k thanks alando1 i should've reported this this nitpick earlier but after you kill he spider demon in episode 3

i've noticed this in the intermission which this has two had's in it lol

Code: Select all

The loathsome Spider Mastermind, the one
responsible for the invasion of the moon
bases, had had its ass kicked for good.
Upon its death, a portal opened. I hoped
it would send me far away from Hell, if not
home.
It transported me to a UAC facility back on
Earth. No one was there to receive me. No
personnel. No Marines.
No hell-spawn could have followed me back.

... or were they already here?

It's supposed to be there. It's the past tense form of "has had."
