Really cool map! city maps are the best, this ones very detailed 8-)

Just now thinking of naming the map zd_bigcity, since the map remids me alot of the Garry's Mod map.
Now i'm tempted to make a zd_construct map.

Really awesome! and without any 3d models as it seems, Really awesome work here

May I take this map and rebuilt some parts for a chapter of mine? It would cost too much time to build sth. like this on my own from scratch and it would be perfect as a basic city layout to begin with...already got some nice cutscene ideas...

Hmm, hadn't seen this yet, so a general critique: The architecture+layout+texturing is impressive but the lighting is reeeeeeeeally drab. At the very least, I'd advise switching from evenlighting to smoothlighting -- the former makes everything look blobby and makes the corners of buildings blur together.

That sure is a fine city map. Great job!

Could be a great setting for a zombie apocalypses; UFO invasion; or a military battle.

The drab lighting is intentional, but I can see how people aren't really fond of it. Here's what it looks like with the switch from evenlighting to smoothlighting.

Not yet, there are still alot of things to sort out in this map, such as low framerates, and the fact that it is very intensive on my system, using up over a gigabyte of RAM on launch.

great from what i can tell so far

i assume the doors lit by dynamic lights will be accessible in the future?

my only gripe is that you're using keyconf for setting the playerclass
use mapinfo

It all depends on if I have a good idea for an interior.

I would, but I'm aiming for Zandronum compatibility.

Zandronum 3.0 supports using MAPINFO. There's no excuse anymore.
