Anyways, back on topic: Currently adding a second difficulty that changes the game here and there.
Much like tormentor667's the refinery did, except in this you can go to either difficulty from the title screen.
I pretty much liked the idea itself. =P

For some very odd reason, I can't get out of the Yellow Skull area. After I get to the teleporter exit after I get the Yellow Skull, I get in an exitless room. The doors which previously were open with the Blue Card won't open and the sector before the teleporter to the Yellow Skull area rose up to the ceiling.

Yeah, had same problem with the blue doors, had to use cheats to go past though them.

nice mod 10/10.

Ignore what this guy is saying. Your face was exactly what made this so creepy and disgusting! the Psychohead and Lurker was some of the creepiest monsters I've ever seen. really triggering this "OH FUCK NO" moment when you see em.
The eye was probably the only sprite that kind of stood out as bad, the palette really raped it.

This was one of the better wads I've played I must admit, while not perhaps the most visually pleasing mod of all, the atmosphere in it was really creepy. oh and +points for no jumpscares.

Fixed that a while back, since it annoyed the hell out of me too, they're MUCH easier to hit now but still pretty hard to kill.

Finished.

New Difficulty - insane mode alters the level by different monster and item placements, new monsters, new areas, and some areas sealed off.

Other stuff:
Lunatics are now much easier to kill, blue key doors now stay open, some mistakes fixed, and some areas are longer.

1: I love you for no jump scares. Seriously. Absolutely love you to pieces.

2: I do agree that the faces does add to the experience, but I thought it worked much better in sparing amounts. I first saw it through the corner, I shivered. Saw it following me through the trees, I nearly shat my pants. Reached the eye tunnels with the occasional pictures, it got really creepy. Fight the psycho face for the first time and enter the room where your face makes up the walls and floors? ...eehhhh. I think it was much more believable that a face could be peering through a wall or a disembodied head could be peeping through trees/doors than a whole wall or sets of walls were made out of one overlapping perfectly-identical face.

3: The enemies, I think, were the best part of this whole thing. The lunging red faces in particular I think were the best--teleporting, sudden charging, the deep red as they lunged...perfect. The introduction of the laughing spiders was also absolutely incredible.

4: The ending is just...really quite abrupt. Comes out of nowhere without any real build-up, and only a short text epilogue. I think even just a very visible exit would have sufficed. Actually being able to leave the town, leaving the insanity behind you as the scenery slowly returns to normal, would have been so much better than "no clue what the fuck happened but you won".

Oh wow, this piece became even more intense.

Just as a thought, what about making that maze door shut, instead of staying open for all time? I really like how intense that maze is (and I hate because of that :P), but being able to get out and cheese your enemies near the beginning is bit cheaty.

Also, did you purposely left those cacos bobbing even if they die? Feels bit disturbing, I thought they're still going after me. :roll:
