ZPack Community Progress Thread

Post by Kirby »

So, I figured that, since it seems like the living dead in the other thread, I figured I'd make a new thread for this project that shows off screenies of various works going on within this project. Here is where will give you progress updates using screenshots and the like.

So, in any case, I give you - SCREENSHOTS!

TDA's New Map - Currently UNNAMED
Spoiler:
Vader's Simply Stunning Blackrock!
Spoiler:
InsanityBringer's New Map (also UNNAMED)
Spoiler:
Tormentor667's Latest Creation - Black Inferno!
Spoiler:
Albino_rhino's (the artist FORMERLY known as farlowj!) Fanboy!
Spoiler:
Icytux's brand new hellish map, Fried Fortress!
Spoiler:
KeksDose's newest map, also UNNAMED (I think we need an idea generator here :P )
Spoiler:
Nuk em's well detailed Stereometry!
Spoiler:
Phobus' Switchback!!
Spoiler:
DooMAD's Mephitic Purity!
Spoiler:
Zippy's Terror Cube!
Spoiler:
And, of course, my own WIP, Causitc Inhibition!
Spoiler:
This and many more are still yet to come! All those that you see here are currently going towards the final outcome of this projects. Plus, there are other maps being worked on right now, including a map from Osiris, and even a joint map between Tormentor667 and Vader!!!

So, uh, yeah, I do like to hype this stuff :P Just a preview of what we are doing and to let everyone know that we ARE making lots of progress :D

PS - YES, I did copy and paste this from the other thread :P

I finally decided to let the images load, so I'll say something:

I like the screenshots alot. :o They are well detailed and the resources you are using are creating an amazing product.

Just curious. Is the one in Icytux's first image a bloodfiend or a maulerdemon?

Bloodfiend.

Monsters were added to the resource where it was felt they made a real difference to gameplay.

Which reminds me that I need to add the shadow imp for Vader's sake since he's been so patient

Is this the same as the ZD community map thingy?

Nice looking levels there anyway. What's with the sky in Blackrock screenshot 3?

@Cutty: It doesn't need to be detailed, it just needs to be a map! Also, Vader's sky is still WIP (or was at the time of those shots).

-------------

And, in the spirit of a progress thread, I've completed my second map.

For The Hell Of It (PHOBUS2)
Spoiler:
This map boasts four different sections, one of which is inspired by Starwing on the SNES, and another of which is a pretty serious boss-style fight.

If you wish to spoil it for yourselves, you can get it here:

And more screenshots are available here:

In a way, but the mappers are making separate maps, not all clustered into one map. Think of Community Chest.
