should i upgrade to .48? Im hearing about all these bugs, which might screw my maps up. Should I wait till a more stable version comes out?

48? Um, no, honestly.

IMHO you should upgrade any time a new version comes out (unless it's too difficult for you), and keep a stable backup if something goes wrong. In addition, finding bugs and posting them into "Bugs" forum will surely help going to a highly stable ZDooM.

Additionally, there is the forbidden "wait until it's mentioned on the main page" strategy.
