Looking for maps that showcase per-pixel lighting

I remember this being a big deal (Maybe around the 3.0 release?), but have only just got around to asking this. Do you have to use models to see the effect or does it work on sprites too?

Per pixel material lighting (either diffuse/specular workflow, or PBR workflow) only works on level textures (walls and flats) and models. Sprites (including sprites in the world, and also weapon sprites on your screen) are unaffected by material lighting and will continue to be lit uniformly.

Do I need to enable it? Gl_dynlight_shader is an unrecognized command when I put it in the console.
