what is best (easiest) & current tool/s to replace weapons graphics. I want only to replace with identical size bmp's

bmp's? Really? Do you happen to know that bmp's don't support transparency, therefore are totally inaproppriate to be used as graphics?

Slade 3.

ramon.dexter is correct, BMP is not up to the task, PNG is what you'd want.

Hi Ramon, , its very easy to forget what the different formats support, especially when it comes to transparency & alpha's ,
& you mean not supported in doom or just outright not supported period? After a little search now & although its uncommon bmp can support transparency,,, but as doom is so old I can see its unlikely

BMP format does not support transparency at all. So, using it for boom graphics could be limited. Much better is to use .png.
