How do I make a standalone Doom mod?

Could someone please help me in making a standalone Doom mod? At the very least I would like to have an .exe that autolaunches GZdoom with my wad or iwad loaded.

This might be worth looking into.
And iwad like this will be shown on GZDoom startup, and automatically loaded if it's the only iwad in the folder.

You could also make a .bat file to load your wad.
