GZDoom Vanilla config for Heretic?

Hi! I wanted to play Heretic for the first time, but wanted to do it vanilla 4:3 style retaining Hirez, anyone know a good config for that? thanks

You can do "vid_aspect 3" in the console and it should pretty much instantly set you to a 4:3 aspect ratio fitting your screen.

This same option is also in the menu under "Options->Set Video Mode->Force Aspect Ratio"

Thanks! That worked, and what about gameplay? does that game support freelook and/or jumping and all that when launched?

In GZDoom, it supports it, but by default it's unbound/turned off.

If you're playing Vanilla heretic and want to do it "proper" in GZDoom, you might want to do "dmflags 4259840" to disable jump and crouch. Freelook is okay to have, the original game actually supported that, so I would definitely turn it on in the options.
