FILTER folders

Post by Scuba Steve »

I am having a hell of a time getting FILTERS to work properly. If I'm reading it right, I should be able to have 1 wad, with separate FILTER folders inside, one for each doom type. I want to have all the HQ music in one single wad for Doom/Doom2/TNT/PLutonis, but I can't get it to work it just keeps overriding Doom2 tracks.

We're going to need to see how you've got it set up to be able to provide much more insight. Though to hazard a random guess, it's possible to misread the Wiki information about which of the doom2 filter folders is for which thing; things that are meant for Doom 2 and only Doom 2 (not Final or Freedoom) go into doom.doom2.commercial, if I remember correctly.

I was fucked up on NyQuil when I posted last night, so I didn't write more coherently. Currently, I have a pk3 set up with the following...
  • Music
    • DOOM
    • DOOM.DOOM2.COMMERCIAL
    • DOOM.DOOM2.PLUTONIA
    • DOOM.DOOM2.TNT
Like I said, I just want it to detect the correct music for each commercial game while having all the music in the same wad.

Flip it around a bit so it's filter/doom.doom2.commercial/music instead.

Just a reminder, it's doom.id.* now so stuff doesn't leak into Freedoom.
