Everything is weird now on the new GZ Doom

So this could just be my new computer, this could be Gzdoom 4.2, this could just be me being crazy, but I seem to be having a lot of problems with the latest GZDoom. My problems are in order:

1) None of my section brightness (I.E where you select Dark, Doom, Legacy, etc.) work at all, though I was messing with the Softpoly renderers.

2) My sound feels... off. I've tried with several different of the sound plugins and they all have different problems. The one I settled on, Fluidsynth, appears to be missing sounds or notes at certain times <For example, in Batandy's Golden Souls 2, during the "level select' theme, the higher pitched notes are not played, unless the mod was for some reason updated to mute them>

3) Despite the fact I turned all filtering off, certain textures and text still looks blurry. Golden Souls is again what I used to test this, particularly center images.

I had just come off the GZdoom 3.7 line, so I'm still getting up to speed. Thank you anyone who helps me.

And if I put this in the wrong place, could someone please move it, I didnt mean to waste time or peoples patience.

Softpoly only supports the Software mode and ignores that setting.

For the other questions maybe someone else knows the answers.

That's what I thought was going on, what setting changes it to the Open GL renderer?

How many castles have you completed? In Golden Souls 2 the level select theme slightly changes after each castle level.

None. I'm also hearing weird audio pitches despite the fact that I have Randomize pitches turned off
