Trying To Bind A Mouse Scroll Left and Right

I have a mouse with 7 inputs:

Left click
Right click
Scroll wheel up
Scroll wheel down
Scroll wheel click
Scroll wheel tap left *
Scroll wheel tap right *

I did have a setup that was allowing me to bind weapon up and down to the starred wheel taps left and right taps. This is incredibly useful and way easier to wield than the scroll wheel where it's more of a weapon roulette. The issue is that one day, it'll allow it in the control bindings, and the next day, the whole function will be gone. It'll still be selected in zDoom, but it won't actually do anything in the game. I've tried disabling the additional Logitech mouse software, and messing with all those game options, and completely disabling them and whatnot, and I can't seem to find the right way to get the damn thing to just stay there and bound to the weapons.
