none of it. it does the thing (in IE) where the little progress bar at the bottom slowly goes along for a while and it looks like it's just waiting for a response or something, then after a bit it times out and comes up with the cannot find server page. it's the same sorta deal in Firefox too..

If it was just IE I'da thought it's just your IE Internet Settings that are messed up. But since FireFox does it too then I think your IP's got some issues with accessing certain domains. Of course now you can access WIP with an anonymous browser, but if this happens for a lot of other pages as well then I'd call up the internet provider and yell at'em a little bit. Also, try reconfiguring IP settings and what-not; I mean, you never know....

ah well. i'll be getting a new box in about a month's time, and a fresh format. like as not that'll fix it.. the mere content of this drive causes any computer to act strange :P

on another note, what do you think of exact 3d foxel replicas of the standard doom2 weapons? :P

edit: like this, only with proper top-texturing and not so square:

See! I reckon Voxels can do great things for Doom (That's not a voxel I know, but that's what a voxel would look like).

Phoenix that looks freaking awesome.

As for hyping my mod, I would put up a Dreamscape screenshot, but sadly I don't have any due to a rewrite of most of the project (includes new maps), and I am waiting for ZDoom .97 so I can get documentation on DECORATE weapons.

He wouldn't be able to get them to move and behave like enemies.

i would be able to get them to move around and turn as if they were one large actor. i would not, however, be able to get them to animate, like swinging an arm or walking. and if i did somehow do that, the amount of foxels required to be able to move into different positions would be obscene. Right now i'm using "tall foxels", each of which are the maximum height of the object with appropriate transparent areas (saves a gazillion foxels). deformability wouldn't work with that. and even SW and Blood didn't attempt to have anything besides static (sometimes rotating) voxel objects..

but you know i'm going to see how far i can push it, for the pure fun of it.
