there's already an autoload feature, in your zdoom.ini file (zdoom-username.ini for nt users) there should be (if not you can add it) an autoload block for each gametype, here's mine for hexen and heretic:

[Heretic.Autoload]

of course those wads will load every time you play the game. I think what you want is the magical invention called A LAUNCHER

Last time I checked Hacx has no IWAD. It can't be in the game selection menu since it's not an actual game, only a mod.
