How big is your Doom folder?

My doom folder is approximately 6.00 GB including utilities and source port

1.59GB. I usually delete mods I don't play any more and remove .zips/.rars if I've extracted 'em.

Compared to when I used to play Skulltag exclusively, my DOOM folder was a whopping 12.49GB. I played on many servers using many mods. And back then, I didn't really obsess over folder-tidiness.

I have a few different Doom folders for various reasons but added together they come to a little over 24GB.

I also have a number of CD and DVD ROMs of Doom stuff that I have cleared off my hard drives.

I believe the /idgames archive is smaller than that. So, how come?

I guess the big ones would be - lots of different ports (which are not on /idgames) and a number of copies of various IWADs to support them, the ZDoom and GZDoom source compiling directories, lots of WADs, a few hi-res texture packs, some MP3 music WADs and, of course, much of it uncompressed unlike the WADs on /idgames.

Full Doom folder: 7 GB

In addition there is the development VM with 20-30 variants of the source code for various potential features (mostly submitted already). (Not much happening there right now)

I don't have a "Doom" folder.

As it is, what I do have is large enough. (Limited only by the capacity of the hard drive it's on.) I suppose in a more esoteric sense, it takes up a small bit of space in the filesystem table.

As far as data size, I can't be bothered to wait for a full scan. It's a few GB at least, but that's entirely meaningless as there are several project and resource folders in there.
