fp! etc etc

How's this? This is a glass texture from the last beta of the Doom Anatomy wad (you can hardly see the white lines, however). This is what most of them look like anyway.

But otherwise, resources from Massmouth 2 can be used provided you give that wad a mention in your text file, and much more importantly you give the original author credit where applicable. If you can't figure out the original author, you should e-mail good ol' Cyb who should be able to set it straight.

Hm, I had made glass textures in the past by making a white 64x128 texture,
and then making it translucent within ZDoom...

Textures like SHAWN2 work well on a line made very slightly translucent, you can look through it like glass which has the "typical" bit of dirty film on it.

IMO, the ones from Duke3d are better, and they were specifically intended for use as glass textures. Some even had translucency in mind. There are many textures much better than diagonal white lines on a non-color or SHAWN2 (too grainy, noticably repetitive).

Just my two cents...

Yes, the Duke3D glass textures look very good when translucency is applied to them. However, I've used SILVER1 and SHAWN2 with translucency, and I feel they work well too.

Ahem... I'm supposed to care about that? People have been doing it for a long, long time. It's all about the scope of it -- the guy in that thread was gonna do it for Unreal. I SERIOUSLY doubt 3DR is gonna care about somebody using a texture in a Doom level. Even if they do, uh, I don't.

Heh, double post cuz' I'm lazy (just got back from Canada yay!). Well, I've got some interesting glass textures I've done for like... acid-etched glass... very uh... it's meant to go with some other textures I've done. Ehm... when I get my stuff together you might see it in a re-release of NiGHTMARE's NB_SILV texture pack, if he's still down wit' 'dat.

EDIT: Biff: YOU DON'T SAY!

People of Duck's caliber (read: stupid people) like to bring up any bitch they can, just because they like the attention it gets them. This is also a common practice among 4-year olds.

"Stop increasing your post count!"
"Stop trolling!"
"Stop using illegal textures!"
"Stop telling people what to do!!"

IIRC, Eternal Doom has both a glass texture and a matching broken-glass texture with a hole in the middle.
