ZDoom IRC Channel

What would you guys think of a #zdoom on EsperNet that is actually focused(or not focused) on ZDoom discussion? I tried this once before, but I could never get it populated or people didn't care as much.

IRC was one of the few things that amazed me about the internet when I first had access to it in 1996... it was pretty addicting (and me being a kid on top of that)... along with stuff like ICQ, instant messaging, stuff like that...

As I grew older I find that I've lost interest in these internet hangout places... however, I guess IRC for ZDoom is good if only for real-time support. Like leileilol, I'd rather see a built-in chat client bult into these forums.

I went once to #zdoom. It was moderated by people commonly running the doomworld forum. It was a bit after the KDiZD release, so naturally they were (slowly) talking about that.

But the chat was too random, people didn't seem to be at the computers, so I realized I prefer the forums for talking about Doom.

i know a lot of anime fansubs that uses irc for distributing the subbed episodes.
