Torture Imps!

I had a thought; you know those games where you can kill people and many ways?

Why not do it for Doom, to imps? :D

And why not let everyone add there own torture devices?

The reason this isn't in Projects is because it's more like a game than something you'd seriously work on.

tl;dr or something: Grab the map, add your own ways to kill the imp! Feel free to add DECORATE, sprites, sounds, or even expand the map!

Base Map

Let's have fun!

btw: the tube contains two sectors inside it, tagged 5 and 6. They're linedefs are tagged the same. The respawning map spot is 666, the imp is 665. Scripts 1, 44, and 45 are useds.

This looked like fun so I whipped something up quick, complete with new DECORATE!

It's by far best enjoyed with Doom Enhanced. So much more satisfying.

Edit: Uploaded a newer version with a different vantage point to help hide the fact that I don't have multiple angles for the new sprite.

heh, you could add a place where you could "ioncannon" the imp. ask me for a downloadlink. (it would be without sounds tho)

I love it! I've got another idea that's going to require a bit of sprite editing. Hopefully I'll have it working this afternoon...

Yes, I agree with Project Dark Fox, but probably on a different case. You can get seizures by using the command "Turbo 256" and going towards the exit repeatedly. :P

EDIT: My brain hurts after a couple of minutes.

Hm, with all of the differences in the torture tube, I wonder how I'm going to combine them? Make multiple torture tubes?

Heh, Xaser's one made me smile :twisted:

(A suggestion for improvement would be to deactivate the imp when you spawn a new one (I did that too) to make sure he is in the right place, then activate him once the trap opens. A couple of time he wandered around for a bit and it took him a while to fall into the hole.)

I hadn't even considered that you would try and put everything in the same tube. A torture suite makes far more sense to me. :)
