Hopefully somebody can find uses for some of this, sense I know Terminator sprites aren't 100% easy to come by, unless you count the Rampage sprites.
Holy shit, this is awesome!! It would be great to be used as an update for that old Theme 1.7 Aliens vs Predator vs Terminator patch because the Terminator sprites in those were absolutely awful. They were just shitty edits of Doom's Zombieman, Shotgun Guy, and the SS Guard.

When I look at these obsolete sprites from that patch compared to what you have, I seriously would want to update that patch to make things feel proper and faithful to the way the Terminators appeared in the films:

According to the theme17 patch's readme this is their T-40 Terminator; it was probably meant to represent the T-800 Endoskeletons.

And this is their T-1000, a modified version of the SS Guard's sprites.

Now as you can see implementing new up to date sprites like yours is something desired for this type of WAD theme.

most of you will see not much difference but this one has better shading and finished soles on the boots is all...

oh and as for the why blue? I know "why" as in: blue stuff in games = powerup, (give me some credit of intelligence guys, I've been playing/modding DooM since it first came out, :roll:) I was just saying that I never liked it being blue, In fact it always seemed to me the wrong way round:

green = security armour
blue = combat armour

eh?!?

Seriously am I the only one that thought that combat armour should have been the green one (green being the marine colour of choice and blue being the preferred colour of security guards and law enforcement) Hell, the manual even stated that security armour was "perfect for riot control" that conjures up images of police to me...

damn I've been giving this WAY too much thought over the years, I've seriously been playing this game for too long now guys... :ugeek: LOL

anyway I got bored today and came up with a energy-armor sprite:

the idea is that it uses cells to power the armour ala quake2.
I liked the idea of the QII energy-armor in doom but felt that it needed to be more doomy in looks than the strange harness it was on stroggos. as colours are quite limited I chose grey and made a techy-look that matched the keys to make it look more than a boring grey armor...
Just need to come up with some decorate to make it work in the inventory now... :roll:
is it me or do QII ideas go great with DooM? I've always felt that QII was such a worthy successor to the DooM series...

Quake II wouldn't have required much conceptual alteration to be a Doom game. Switch the cybernetically enhanced Strogg for cybernetically enhanced demons and Stroggos for Hell and you've got a Doom story right there. We've all seen many of the Quake II resources used over and over again in Doom so we know much of it is suitable too.

Well if you want those sprites then you can use them I will not mind at all. I make these sprites so people can use them and i wont ask for credit either because having my work in a mod is credit enough for me. :D

thats just weird it even looks so similar! well at least I can not bother worrying with code now eh? I still prefer the look of mine though 8-)

thats an epic site though glad you pushed me onto it, Now using the pda sprite for a scanner-item!
