Same here, I think it's too wide.

Here's my attempt at making it slimmer (Using scalliano's version):

I also think maybe it needs to be edited more to look a lot like the other weapons in style, this one looks to high res scaled or something, it lacks they grutty appearance as seen with the other weapons. The Chaingun would be best to use.

Too wide? Looking at the screenshot again, it's quite a narrow weapon. Right now it needs proper scaling.

EDIT: Actually, I'm seeing it in your edit. Still needsto be smaller overall IMO.

Well, what it really needs is the art appearance of Doom 64 before scaling could be taken into consideration.

By this, I think the coloring is too shiny for it to feel like Doom 64.

True. Right now it's a decent vanilla variant (minus the blue tinge, obviously). Although the sheen is present in the original.

I was thinking the base weapon is actually way too narrow; it'd feel beefier if we either widened it or smooshed it down vertically a bit.

I thought it looked fine, I mean it matches the screen shot and the weapon itself was probably meant to be slim.

I better sleep now that I've only got less than four hours left to do so in.

Edit: Resized or whatever:

Blox's looks good, but still it lacks that "gritty" feeling.

Here's the best weapon on the face of the Earth:

Blox:

That looks awesome. Definetly would fit in at home in normal Doom. Still needs that dark metallic shading we know from 64.

And yeah, it does look more like a flamethrower than a lightning gun.

It can easily be edited to look like a lightning gun again for Doom 64 if it's edited enough.

Flamethrower? I think it lookos like a Quake1-ish rocket launcher.
There's no way to make that a flamethrower, unless you want to see the fire coming at your face.

Well excuse me that I made it strictly (strays off into additional shades, but whatever) follow the doom palette. :p
