yes thats true. I have fixed the ass-movement-bug (theres a sentence I nver thought I'd ever utter) on the zombies but have left it so that the entire/most-of the torso still moves in some capacity.
now, hear me out, Yes, it would indeed be more anotomically accurate to only move the chest area but then it would also be a bit of a pointless endeavour in the end, as you'd never even see the monster move from the back views at all.
They'd look like they're standing stock still unless viewed from the front and, in truth, thats not really what I was going for.
at first I actually had them not moving but it looked so odd not seing any movement on monsters Ive been looking at dancing about for tweny odd years.
In fact it just looked like the game had crashed or something.
I added the 'alive' animation so that it was at least akin to the original idle anim (moving) but not quite as gawky.
I feel the movement is actually potentially usefull too (espescially at a distance) to show that the monster is actually alive. I can be usefull as it can show them to you earlier than you might see them if they were immobile (in certain situations)and then plan your attack thusly. thats why I kept it moving from all angles. so as not to take away from what the original effect gave the player as far as visual feedback, but to feel more appropriate in an age where we have access to much more detail and processing power available to add a few extra specialist animations in without breaking the bank, so to speak...

I've no illusions it could be done better but perhaps thats for someone else to do? ;)

anyway, here: https://www.mediafire.com/file/qkiackrtc3wzrrs/osjc_idle_mod.zip/file is a file that has the fixed zombie and imp anims and new anims for, demon, hellknight, baron, revenant, mancubus, archvile, arachnotron, spidermastermind and cyberdemon.
just drop it in your gzdoom folder and load it into a mapset to see the new anims...

some of the monsters use an existing frame from one of their walk cycles (with an altered one for the 'alive' anim and some simply have two new rotaion sets for both parts of the animation.

Actually the "Quad shotgun" was first in OMG! Weapons in 2005 and was know as the BallBreaker....
