these scientists are truely great.
be in no doubt of that.
however I feel they really need some running/panicing frames in order to be fully useable.
would be odd to see them casually walking around with all sorts of chaos going on is all...

Well it's in still in the agenda but tbh, my whole real life situation is kinda EFFED right now and spriting is on a halt but progress is very limited but will do it. After my situation settles down

thats understandable.
my lifes gone down the shitter a bit too, well at least financially.
lost my job a while back last year and have struggled to find anything other than casual zero hours crap hither and yon since.
living on no income and skipping meals, but, meh, whatayagonnado, eh? :shrug:

Tooks a lot of time, but this how the WIP is goin on. This going to be the harder Doom :twisted: :twisted: , because you only going to play it with one hand :D :D :D :D.
Instead the central mugshot, there going to be two 2/3 of the body at both sides, and some kind of cute heart in the middle.

thats tasty sonicofan, truly nice work as usual!

Ive been messing with some idle frames for the zombies for the spawn state that look less like a little tap-dance and more akin to the "on guard duty" idle frames from the guards you'd see in wolfenstein 3D:

I found a shotgun guy close enough to what I was after inside brutaldoom so I used that as a base (with some heavy cleanup to be rid of the strap detail) and then worked on that for the zombieman.
on the chaingunner I chose a braced-leg pose to fit with the weight of the chaingun...
unlike the wolf3d counterparts these have a basic "alive" animation (well, as alive as undead possesed zombie soldiers can be anyway ;) ) which simply consists of the torso dropping one pixel to roughly ssimulate the chest rise-and-fall of a breathing effect... not exactly amazing but good enough for doom methinks...

also did one for the imp but this time the animation has borrowed a bit from quake's shambler's idle anim, the claws tensing as it seethes away waiting for its next victim...

all four of these were done using different parts of the original monster's sprites lashed together...

had fun doing this and was going to do more for other monsters (namely, demon, hellknight/barons, revvie, fatso and vile as they have the worst current idle anims) but the demon is giving me issues...
not as easy as these guys and I struggle quite a bit with the imp as it is and I still don't feel 100% on it.

I think they should move the weapon a little, or turn the head - this would be better idle stance.
