A prototype weapon, the
Nishimura One Battle Rifle:

A modernized (futurized?) T31 Light Rifle with a conventional gas piston, and predecessor design to the Nishimura Seven, the Nishimura One was an attempt to produce an antimatter rifle that operated on similar principles to a conventional, propellant-launched projectile rifle while not being either entirely impossible to make or burdensome to front-line infantry (most attempts at antimatter weapons before this were phaser-type designs that emitted a beam along an energy field, which were limited by the field's range - all Infinity Legion weapons, from the N1 on, rely on field generators in the projectiles themselves to prevent catastrophic premature detonation). While technically capable of automatic fire, the N1's barrel and handguard becomes very hot when fired too many times too quickly because of the incredible heat released by the relatively minuscule quantity of antimatter propellant.
