Computech SA-68 with the sights removed to expose more gun that I've been messing with. I tried using the pointiness attribute in Cycles to get edges highlighted and that got them well enough but the overall shading underneath needs more work.

Spoiler: More like Incompetech...
The only thing off that I see is that the charging handle isn't ambidextrous, but still, I've always wanted to see sprites of the Slaxguns™.

Needing opinions about this :) ? It's meant to be a Tommy Gun.

Very angled, but since i don't know if it's a actual idle sprite or just has another use, It's very well done. Sold for me as a Tommy.

Too angled and too dark in my opinion.

it looks a lot less dark in the screenshot, with better visibility of the gun itself; However it's still too angled. It looks like the character is going to shoot to the side.

Very nice work, although to my eyes it looks like it would be too "Flat" in game and lacks a bit more shading for the effect of it not being pointed upwards (like holding a stick straight up in the air like a staff)

if this is not pointing to the sky, in my opinion you should make something like:

EDIT: Better exemple, one i did long ago for Mortila Artificer class:

And here is the idle state pointing to the sky:

The way it is, it looks like the character is in idle position, with the spear pointing upwards (in fact, i initially thought that was the intention of the sprite before reading the other comments). Something like this:

You can use the pitchfork sprites from Blood to have a better reference in perspective. BigProjectAlone's example is also another good reference material. If you're using Gimp, try the perspective tool (Shift + P).
