Got the walking animation done. This took me three or four days, so imagine the rest of the rotations and frames.

I think i forgot to add the extra sprite for .500 magnum of mine. Now it went more useful, i think.

Trying to make Iron sights for the Doom IV Repeater that Neccronixis did. Yes, I know, make a bit more smooth, and give it a yellow/greenish kind of color instead of white. Any other suggestions though? (yes, the Repeater/Burst Rifle in Doom IV multiplayer had an option to zoom in and shoot semi auto, if you didn't know)

I just quickly did a palette swap with some slight adjustments here and there of the imp, and I don't think it looks too bad, vanilla shading and all.Kullenberg wrote: But yes, at the end of the day it's just a preference. I think some of the vanilla doom sprites are a bit too simple in their shading (the imp comes to mind) but I'd like to aim for something in between.

I started a new vanilla project and just made this chainsaw, but i'm not sure if it will get to the final version.

Everybody gets some nice sprites. But, I don't know how to sprite. Even though this is a thread for showing off sprites, I wanted to sprite my own weapon. Though I don't know how.
But anyway, all of you got some nice sprites!

You can be good at spriting if you can study by making your own, like us. You might search some tutorials in this forum or in google. Good luck!

Start with sprite editing. GIMP is a highly useful tool for helping with that.TheNightATK300 wrote:Everybody gets some nice sprites. But, I don't know how to sprite. Even though this is a thread for showing off sprites, I wanted to sprite my own weapon. Though I don't know how.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
I use GIMP on every work i do. It's not the only way but you can pull something out with any tool if you have some good ideas. See that chainsaw i did up there? GIMP. The secret is to play around and experience all the functions before doing objective works. Having a good memory for game sprites might help as well. Check out spriters resource site to find some material. Then download some editor of your choice and bingo!TheNightATK300 wrote:Everybody gets some nice sprites. But, I don't know how to sprite.
