RUN, IS GODZIRRA!

But seriously though. Your spriting skills are great! FreeDoom is definitely going to be looking amazing.

Ditto.
Good spriting.

I still think that without classic "hellish" theme it loses something...very core about Doom experience...it's whole other game. Slugs and such....it's not...the same.

I replaced the BrutalDoom-Bloodspotgraphics withs selfdrawn ones. GIMP's brushes are really helpfull when it comes to liquid-stains.

Spoiler:

I kinda started to feel bad for using the original BD-gore-graphics.

The one at the right end is not used yet. (Picture is transparent, don't worry).
There will definitly be replacement for the BD-Gore and the BD-flying-blood-sprites somewhen in the future.

Which, personally, I think is a good thing. I like that FreeDoom has been developing its own aesthetic in recent months/years. I think that it is still compatible enough with Doom to fulfil its main goals but now has its own character too and I'm quite happy that it isn't slavishly tied to the Doom back-story and appearance. I already have Doom with its demons and hell so FreeDoom being different gives me another game. :D

If vanilla doom is all about fighting with demons through the hell, freedoom is now all about defending yourself from the evil invaders from a macrocosmic dimension.

Otherwise it's exciting and new to see.

You're missing the point of Freedoom. It's meant to be a separate game with its own style, not a Doom ripoff. Resources too similar to Doom's have been removed before. I'm all for removing the hell theme. In fact, I think the name "Freedoom" itself is a bit false.
