Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Talking about M16, i was watching an old video from "Guns of the world" channel and i had the idea of making this little thing:
Sprites made from screenshots of the real life shooting video

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
How's this one? I'll bother with lighting on the dark parts later, outta time right now but still wanted to do something with it.Cherno wrote:Nothing beats the old-school look of an M16 with M203. However, I am not sure if I like the flashhider or not. Realistically, at least for M16A1+, it wouldn't warrent a whole pixel difference in thickness compared to the barrel. It's a few millimetres thickers, if at all (depending on model), but then again a straight barrel doesn't look as interesting at this scale... Maybe have it straight and add a dark pixel two pixels before the muzzle, to hint at the flashhider's thread?

What about this flash hider? I remember doing an old AR-10M for my mod. It was going to be the original Assault rifle in Shadow Elite.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
That one would sort-of work for the early forked flashhider, but it would be shorter one or two pixels... and while it that one has a bigger diameter at it's widest point, it's still only a tiny bit more than the barrel's width.

Nice. Should work well in a nice snowy map.Graaicko wrote:Heres a Swiss Arctic Commando with a SG553. Currently working on the other frames.
Good to see some in-world sprites in this thread too. Nothing wrong with weapons, of course, but they've been dominating the thread recently and I personally am far more interested in new enemies etc.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
funny you are doing this, I've been looking for a set of angled vanilla sprites to do a vanilla rebalance. might use these. I found an angled Plasma rifle, and any old chainsaw will do i'm sure, but the super shotgun and the bfg and the rocket launcher allude me.DenisBelmondo wrote:
someone somewhere out there might like this??? (despite the shotgun's crooked sights)
pumping frame is scubasteve's, original pistol edit is sgt shivers' i think, and its hands are from mike12, shotgun stock is heavily modified from smth by marty kirra
I'm surprised an all angled vanilla weapon mod doesn't already exist...
Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
I made more tactical aiming firing sprites for the rifle commando. Figured that I'd share them here for anyone to use. Sorry for the uneven sprite sheet, not sure if it matters or not though.

a tootsietoy dakota shotgun.

A classic DOOM-styled repeater (standard and marksman variants) and long-range slug thrower. The scope on the marksman repeater and slug thrower is a high-magnification reflecting scope.

Good stuff, mate, I love the FAL. It's not exactly centered but I think it's rather easy to fix.ElectricPulse wrote:FAL battle rifle,
