I don't like the arm, but the hand looks more Doomy to me. I made a little edit to the gun too.

That looks awesome. I agree that the arm wasn't the best realist thing, but I liked that exaggerated way of drawing it. There is something weird with the position of the finger, but I can't wrap my head around it. Anyways, nice work!

the thumb's nail outline makes it look like its facing the player, wheras the original hand makes it look like it was facing away from the player

imo the best way i find for proper colors for rips would be to desaturize it, get the proper area, new layer, additive layer, tweak the layer's properties, and then clean it up in post
