That's precisely what it's based on. Scaling it up to 120% of its original size to match dooms human scale (in order to add zombie heads/hands etc) is proving to be bloody hard going... Also I just realized it's not in the doom pallete so all the colours will need changing when it's done too... Sigh...

well, gave up on that quicker than I thought I would.
just cant be bothered with all the hard work. lazy yes but honest...
so anyway, here is a simpler wolf3d sized version:

to make it look less rubbish amongst the other doom monsters you'd need to scale it at 120% in decorate...

I've always liked the idea of having unique marine sprites for every weapon, but some of the older ones that exist out there look a bit... crusty, and they lack the 678 rotations, which messes with my OCD. I made a mashup of the shotgunner and the player to get these, and then edited it further to make the SSG version. I used Metal_Spaghetti's armless marine sheet to fill in blank spaces, and used JoeyTD's weapon rotations as reference. I started a bit on the chaingun.

Any feedback would be appreciated, as I'm not really an artist.

That SSG guy is gorgeous, I hope you get some more done :D

Looks nice, If you do end up finishing it it'll make a good base for gpl zombies

ok i've persevered and gone over this yet again:

this time adding the classic doom-possessed bloodied boots, some changes to the head to make it fit in with the other doom zombies better. and new/idle biting anims
actually at scale 1.2 he's a good match size wize... please feel free to do stuff to this to make it better... :wink:

Left one looks like some kind of weapon powered by crystal to zap things. And Right one looks cool as well, like the enhanced version of Brutal Doom Rocket Launcher!

Having rotated many weapons in the past, I could make this better, but it's not a bad job.

i made all the lights blue to match the crystal thing and the screen in the middle, and made some minor changearounds.
