That lost soul one looks fantastic now! That face expression is top notch improvement.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Sorry for this very fugly sprite, but i wanted to start a frankensprite of a MAG-7 shotgun, because i can't seem to find a proper rear view of it anywhere.
YukesVonfaust and Graaicko for the sprites.
Here's a Second trial. Crude edit from a model viewer+First sprite:
model by luchadordev on cgtrader.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Porting most part of doom 4 animations is a hard work. But result:
Imp`s non-combat idle.
Imp`s leap attack (1 of 2) (slow because has too many frames)
Imp`s stagger anim:

here comes the Pacifier.
based on the homonymous rifle created (and rejected) by pillowblaster for Guncaster.

I'd like to see it as an addon for guncaster, but anyway feel free to use it.

Been working on the Revenant as of late, here's a large (400% zoom) preview of one of his rotation frames, thoughts?
(This is his firing animation)

Does he really lift his right foot up that much or are you not using an orthogrphic camera to render?simploo wrote:Very nice work, hopefully someone will grant you that wish someday.Gabbuz85 wrote:here comes the Pacifier.

No, he dont lift his leg up in game when firing. It`s perspective.Cherno wrote:Does he really lift his right foot up that much or are you not using an orthogrphic camera to render?

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
When I render the model, the camera is tilted on it's Y axis by a power of 2 to give it perspective, if you look at the original DOOM sprites, they had a similar approach to rendering the clay models.Cherno wrote:Does he really lift his right foot up that much or are you not using an orthogrphic camera to render?

Authentic but useless.simploo wrote:When I render the model, the camera is tilted on it's Y axis by a power of 2 to give it perspective, if you look at the original DOOM sprites, they had a similar approach to rendering the clay models.Cherno wrote:Does he really lift his right foot up that much or are you not using an orthogrphic camera to render?

if you could cook up an amt automag or a wildey magnum, that would be a great start to an 80s inspired weaponset.GAA1992 wrote:Sorry for this very fugly sprite, but i wanted to start a frankensprite of a MAG-7 shotgun, because i can't seem to find a proper rear view of it anywhere.

Yukes made a version of the Charles Bronson baby from Death Wish 3, but It was angled. I do, however, prefer german weapons from the 80's instead of the USA ones =p

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Far from useless. Doom draws actor sprites "through" the floor for the sake of better matching the player's perspective ( after all, your viewpoint isn't flat on the ground, where feet would actually appear to be flat on the ground, too ). Without stuff like this, it'd actually appear like the the monster is floating off the ground rather having their feet planted firmly on it.REXMaster wrote:Authentic but useless.
Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Well, since there are no orthographic cameras in real life, I would assume that the original Doom sprites have this look because of the camera's perspective, not because it was tilted slightly
