Didn't know you're also making sprites based on 3d models there, gifty. It looks good so far but the light source is quite awkward! The previous version, however, is looking good and less shiny.

I'm not 100% convinced on the look of these are as good as they can look so if someone wants to polish them up a bit and improve on these please do!

They look decent to me. Could use a bit more perspective on the diagonal views but then they'd probably lose their sense of mass.osjclatchford wrote:continuing the theme:barrels on their sides...

Hey, if we add a bit of animation to them we could have some movement. The old "roll the explosive barrels down the stairs" trap those nazis love so much.
Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
I think they all look good. The problem with the ones on their side is that they will look weird as they jump from angle to angle while you move around them, but they will also look quite strange if only a single angle is used. I guess that's why most decorations are tall, narrow and quite symmetrical.

The jumping is not actually that terrible in game but I know of what you speak. It's a bit jarring on some sprites...Enjay wrote:I think they all look good. Guess that's why the build engine supports more angles. Look at the decoration sprites in ion fury. Simply Loads of angles

It's a rarely used feature, but GZDoom supports up to 16 angles - it has done for many years. The extra work of making the sprites is probably what puts most people off I guess.osjclatchford wrote:Guess that's why the build engine supports more angles.
