Gzdoom ships with brighmaps.pk3 so that's a good place to look. It's worth pointing out that all of the ones in brightmaps. pk3 are greyscale but they don't have to be. Coloured brightmaps can be very useful. They cannot, however, be used to make a black pixel bright red.

Brightmaps are more involved than making a single universal colormap change but they are also far more effective and flexible. And, actually, I find them pretty quick to make anyway.

Did a custom stat bar for Arkista's Ring by sci-fi'ing the original Heretic bar.

Another death animation for Hitler. Wanted to give him the ol' angle of death exploding head effect within the frame count of his original death animation.

It looks fine to me. As long as you use img tag and the sprite sheet is not really big, it works just fine.

Resident Evil (2002) grenades shells (based on my request)

Based on LossForWords' "Mine Thrower Rounds" (Left), I colorize (Middle) before lowering the top (Right)

separate frames, adjusted positin, properly name ATRP instead AGRD, letter and direction done.
Spoiler:
but you promise us smaller pouldrons, face inside helmet, melee attack, agony animation, two trillion Zimbabwe dollars, alternate death, and dodge/crouch move
I lied 8-)

Cool. Would just like to point out that Fate was developed by DogBone Software, with IntraCorp/Capstone only serving as Publisher: http://www.jonof.id.au/buildgames/fate.html

Slowly continuing this, i'ts almost almost there. Just two more animations, then firing frames, and hurt frames.
Used to be faster animating, i don't know what happened, hahahaha. At least i think this is the best pixel animation i did for a character for now, however it's not being time effective, specially with classes and work.

edit: i think i need to check the side animation again, the frame with the right leg up specially. Need to make that more clear. Writing this so i remember

I agree, this is probably the best work I've ever seen from you.

Personally I think the side animation is good as it is. Most of the leg is obscured, and trying to suggest more movement from that leg may instead distort the intended emphasis. You can see the left leg fully extending and bending, a little bit of asynchroncity is good for a living creature.

I understand you pixelled this from scratch.
This is very high quality, fabulous creature design as well. You've made my day, and it's been horrible thus far :)

May I inquire that software do you use to check the animation? Just cycling through opened separate frames as different images in the 2d software, or actuall using some soft to see how it walks.
Me? I still use good ol' Animation Shop that came bundled with PSP 7.0 by JASC.
