These almost look like the Cerberus Pistols used by Brandon Heat in Gungrave!

You are amazing man, keep it up.Sonik.o.fan wrote:Thanks for letting me know, Uncle J! Will do my best.
Just to hop on the angled train, i think the only weapon that never had a "serious" angled version was the BFG. That's just a suggestion and not a request though

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Thanks, buddy. Yeah I’m planning to make angled BFG too someday (and, perhaps, plasmagun).

Cleaned up the SCAR sprite, drew some lines to smoothen things up, made a cloak mode sprite, then actually bothered to make cloaking and decloaking animations because why not.
Next some firing frames and the iron sights, and maybe reload though I don't guarantee anything for that last one since the editor is a bit odd.
Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Oh, I've waited so long for beautiful angle sprites! My mod would look different if you were here a few years ago! Awesome work, man!
Uh... any plans for making some hell tech weapons some day? Maybe?
Well, cartoony or not, if you make a melee version of this, it would work greatly in horror themed mods. And, as a fan of this genre, my opinion is that this is outstanding. And I mean in every detail: the face, the rib-cages, all three arm bones, and, man!, even the fingers!neoworm wrote:As an evening relaxation I tried to make a sprite mockup of possible new enemy. There are not many high quality humanoid enemies. The style is still too cartoony.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Not sure if this helps with the cartoony aspect at all (probably not tbh), but I felt like doing this, so here you goneoworm wrote:As an evening relaxation I tried to make a sprite mockup of possible new enemy. There are not many high quality humanoid enemies. The style is still too cartoony.
Most instances of shading in Doom's monsters are just darker shades of the same color rather than black (or a color too dark that it's near black)
So I redid the shaded areas to have color. Just a silly thing but well, do whatever you want with the idea lol
That said, the original is really fitting for 90's arcades. Really cool sprite.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
It looks cartoony because the lighting on the sprite is from straight ahead, like Blake Stone, instead of from above and slightly to the left or right, like in Doom or Wolf3D. The latter allows for more complex shading and more apparent depth.

We'll see, I can't promise anything for now because I have enough requests. But I'm sure I'll try to make some brand new guns in future

Your style would fit in really well with Dead Marine REDUX.neoworm wrote:As an evening relaxation I tried to make a sprite mockup of possible new enemy. There are not many high quality humanoid enemies. The style is still too cartoony.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
That looks awesome! IMO that's just a full improvement to the original sprite!Sonik.o.fan wrote:Railgun reshade/reskin attempt
But did you mean to post it as a JPEG?
