This can't be good for me, but it looks great.
Anyway... Man oh man. It's been a long time. Quite looks shoddy than the original model i've found, but it was kinda worth it. Credit goes to Vio from Steam Workshop.

The whites got a little washed out, but otherwise good! (Aside from the legs & head titling in an impossible way, which is a "realism" irk I guess. )Cherno wrote:Lego Imperial Soldier

Gotta love that Arch cone block as a muzzle flash!
Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Well, holsterguy is taking shape.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
I agree with the colors, I just re-applied some color corrections from my Doom 3 renders for these, I have to tweak it some more I guess! The limb deformations were inspired by the Lego games (where the minifig characters even have bendable knees!) and they are kind of a neccessity at least as far as the arms go, since holding things in the hands looks very stiff otherwiseNeuralStunner wrote:The whites got a little washed out, but otherwise good! He is, but I have to say that- to me - that shape is a bit weird. His torso looks very long, especially in comparison to his legs. I'm on my phone ATM so I can't easily open up the image and check numbers but he definitely looks out of proportion to me.Ravick wrote:Well, holsterguy is taking shape.

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Here's one OVERDUE weapon sprite i wanted to sprite. Very old and rusty, just like the date it was uploaded. But somehow charming!

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
If you could include a frame without the warhead for reloading, I might use that sprite sometime.

Looks nice and very detailed. I love the steampunk or post-apocalyptic feel to it. And i guess it might need a larger muzzle flash!
Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Damn! I can't un-see it now. Specially in the front angle.Enjay wrote:He is, but I have to say that- to me - that shape is a bit weird. I didn't wanna to remake this, but I guess i'll have to.
Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
Sorry 'bout that.
I actually should have mentioned it earlier because it was very obvious from this pic that you posted on the previous page:

Re: [SPRITES] Spriting Carnival!!
I was taking a look at the originals. I use Xim's marines as base, in this case the knife one.
It seems that the front frames I've used are on average 7 pixels taller then the back ones. I've never noticed it in game, but I guess my disproportional front frames maybe inherit it.
Pixel per pixel clicking again. hehe

edit: I had the feeling that the holster was too small for the guy... it was kinda true, the guy was too tall for the holster o.õ
Oh, and thanks for point that out. I had not realized that.
