Excellent!

Nah, seriously, it's kinda funny-looking but it deserves a full sheet nonetheless. Could be useful to make the winged imps from the Doom Bible. :)
Seconded! That's interesting enough to deserve a set! :D

In my opinion, the Marine's suit is too blurry.
And Marine sprite is too small.

Using the afrit as a base instead probably makes it a bit less awkward, though the legs might still need something more done with them.
(Removed, stop asking about old sprites)

Nice. 1 comment, and it really struck me with this sprite for some reason: His helmet looks almost like a tight-fitting skullcap of some sort. Protective helmets do not usually fit close to the skull. In fact they have quite a bit of material (or even just air) between the head and the protective shell; often an inch or so. So they make your head look quite a bit bigger than it normally does.

Unfortunately, we are playing with a very small number of pixels here so it's hard to make the helmet bigger without making him look like a melon head. However, I did try a quick "add 1 pixel all the way around" without paying too much attention to the colour etc and it didn't look as bad as I would have expected.

Yeah, not sure. It doesn't look too shabby here, but If I make a full skin out of it, the tighter pixels might end up better with all the angles than the extra-pixel version. Would have to experiment a bit.
Speaking of which, I don't suppose anyone has a weaponless marine and/or marine rifle without the marine?

Hey nice work CJ. Although I think the muzzle flash should be purplish pink because it shoots lasers. Also, why shrink the lower barrel? Thats a prominent part of the rifle.

Yes, that head is from Contra. I will modify it a little to make it look more like a T800 endoskeleton.
