I agree, and I really like what you're doing with the sprites.

I hope you are minded to look at the Baron at some point. Obviously it needs quite a bit of work. The mancubus could do with some love too. I think the FreeDoom Manc is a great design. It looks horrible, tortured and pained as if its very existence is an uncomfortable, frustrating, mutated, unpleasant struggle. However, the quality of the sprite is poor in as much as it is too bright, horribly washed out and not particularly well fitted to the game palette.

thanks enjay, i was told at doomworld that the baron is actually a placeholder, so i was hoping that maybe the reptile thing im working on could replace it. i also like the freedoom manc alot, i may get to it when i finish editing the cibie and aracno

That's a lot of work. I really hope you are able to stick with it. Understandably, because of the work involved, the FreeDoom sprites are definitely the weak area of the project and it's really good to see someone with the talent and willingness to dedicate some time to them.

Editmagix: Smaller version, seems i got almost right the "doom size"

I have the same gloves! Perhaps there's a chance for a "consistent" sprite sheet of these hands...

Good lord! This is incredible. If you were to actually finish the zombie sprites, I'm sure a LOT more people would want to use Freedoom!

Maybe people would start making freedom versions of famous mods that use doom base graphics (The easiest example, brutal doom).

About those gloves, i like that idea, maybe i could go out today or tomorrow to see if i can find a close match, paired with an aviator jacket, ACES DOOM!.

The monster sprites you've been making lately are awesome, I actually would like to use some complete monster sprite sets for a mod I am working on, if that is okay.

i dont know how long ill take to finish the zombies, i find that the smaller the sprite the more difficult it is to do, however when they are finished you can use them however you want, freedooms llicense is such that you can even use them wihotut asking permission

EDIT

the walking frames are done!

walkingframes2.png
next is attack, pain chance and death
