Some mods such as Metadoom handled it juuust right.

An imp statue/some bases that other statues could be put on and some column variants more fit for a techbase.

Here's a cyberdog spritesheet, exported from the TEXTURES lump used in DoomshockV2 as paletted png's. 4 walking frames and two flying frames with rotations.

Can't take credit since I didn't technically draw anything, but I kindly ask you to wait for the release of the mod or until some time has passed before using in a public release :)

Whats the code for a move+shoot state?

You put such code under a custom Missile state that is to be jumped to from the missile state. You'll also need to put down some A_Chase actions in your custom Missile state...
