The positioning of the head also suddenly seems odd, at least to me, possibly because the shoulders are going up higher, unless the guy is just more muscular.

I might do it more like this, though it still looks a tad off. I have not looked at any of the original sprites up close in a while to confirm what should go where.
Ah I see, I get the gist of it tho it's hard to do it on a phone and I can't very much see how the sprite would be presented
Upon closer inspection, the chainsaw I posted earlier had some errors up close that really bugged me, so I fixed them and made variants. So here you go, 3 colors + black or colored grips, because why not. The actual chainsaw I have irl is the top left one, in case you were wondering.

I'm attempting to remake/overhaul the ZDOOM crouch sprites though they're barely seen at least they need a dire need of update. Progress maybe slow but it's getting there

watch out, i'm armed and dangerous! (these custom arms are franken-sprited from other arms by me, but ultimately still are style-consistent, rotations on the top half are done with a lengthy process i cant explain in one line :V)
trying to get a good blender workflow and material system going to very easily render models for use as doom sprites with as little editing as possible. a lot of these i'm probably not going to use but i'll post my experiments here for the sake of. something

You're doin great! If you need a reference sheet that has frames of a crouching animation look up the sprite sheets of Duke 3d and Shadow Warrior player characters.

Ohhh now that has peaked my interest but I've used myself as reference doin a crouched walk and pictured myself in the mirror (which tbh is really funny) but again thanks
